We have Internet!

That's not the most important thing on this post though.... For the readers who don't know: Joel and I are having a little baby.... and the gender of this baby is now known... and I'm going to keep you in suspense until the very end of this post! :)

You may have noticed I posted a few posts at a time for awhile because we didn't have internet so I would type them up at home then I would post them when I got to a place that had internet.... rough exsistence I know... but anyway, that shouldn't be a problem anymore... because we have internet :)

Also I know everyone wants to see the bump, but I've gotta get my pictures in order first...

Ok I'll tell you: We're having a little boy!!! His name's gonna be Jason, and he has big feet based on the ultrasound picture! Any way, that's all for now folks.... This pregnant woman needs a snack.... she's hungry :)

Maybe it’s just me….

I don’t know how other pregnant women feel during the various stages of their pregnancy, but even though I can’t see my toes, and I’m “losing my girlish figure” (sorry that makes me laugh inside myself) I don’t care about those things, all I can think about is the little miracle growing inside of me.

A true testament to Joel and I’s love: a baby, that was conceived soon after our marriage…. Unplanned, but loved. Now, since I’ve seen our baby on ultrasound, and we’ve both felt baby kick (myself, periodically during the day, Joel,only once so far) this baby seems more and more real to us… Not that the baby wasn’t real before, it’s just baby now seems to actually become a little lovely person!

Feeling baby kick that first time, was, in short, surprising! Then I felt a whole big wave of love for our little one!! Same with “seeing” baby for the first time on the ultrasound!

As you can see, the minor discomforts, and the weight gain really don’t matter to me at all, because it’s all for a little, wonderful baby I’m bringing into this depressing world.

Anyway, I had to get all these thoughts off of my chest before I could possibly work on any more school work! Ta ta for now dear readers: I have school work to finish!

A Few Thoughts

I wish there was some sort of wisdom I could give everyone, something I could say to make your life’s journey easier. I mean being married and everything, I would have thought that there would be some wisdom gained…. And the only thing I can think of, is when you choose your wedding dress, and get a slip to go under the dress, get it to wear it’s not tight on you at all…. it will be twice as tight on the wedding day.

All I really know for sure is that I’ve learned a lot since the wedding day, although it’s not exactly “wisdom” I’ll share my most random of thoughts with you:

1.) Always write on the outside of the box what you’re packing inside (and if there are books/papers WRAP THEM IN PLASTIC BAGS!)

You’ll never remember what you put where once you get to your destination. And wrap up those books, wouldn’t want to take the chance that they get wet!

2.) Organize things as you go.

This is a given: as you take things out of boxes, unpack from a trip, or even as you fold clothes, wash dishes etc. it makes the job less of a hassle to put things away

3.) When pregnant, keep lifesavers/crackers in purse at all times. Also pack extra prenatal vitamins along.

It helps with the queasiness when hungry. As for the Vitamins: you never know if you won’t be eating at home because your husband might surprise you with a night out ; )

4.) God is always there. Pray all the time, He’s always listening, when you need help or strength: He’s there!

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 41:10

Moving In

Joel and I moved into our little trailer here on Mountain Pine… Quaint little place, makes you think of little camping trips in a cabin. I love it! Even though, it’s dark paneling on the walls. We aren’t even all the way unpacked yet! The Problem is: not enough places to put things... But here are some pictures of the moving in process:

You can only imagine How tired Joel and I were after cleaning everything… And I washed out all the cabinets and I had to clean so much grease off that stove… And moving that couch in: It couldn’t fit through the door… we had to take the two doors off, and the feet of the couch, and “shimmy” it through the door! Ugh! I don’t even want to move the thing out of here!  Any way: Top most picture: Living room before and after, Then the kitchen, and two sets of bedroom pictures.. All of the pictures are Before and after shots. (This was our first place and I thought you dear readers might like to see it, we’ve moved out of there and into a house :)

Scrunching

So I was talking to my sister-in-law, Lizzy to see how she scrunches her hair and so I decided to try it for my self, so if you’re going to try it here’s what you’ll need: styling mousse, clips, wet/damp hair and time.

First your hair needs to be wet enough, but not too wet otherwise your hair won’t “set” right. And then you’re going to work the mousse through your hair, all the way through. Next you’re going to take a section of your hair (I did my hair in sections because my hair is so thin it will dry faster and also it’s easier for me), let the ends sit in your palm and and bring your hand up to your scalp, as you’re bringing it up keep your hair contained in the center of your palm. Kind of making a messy looking nest. Then once you bring is mess up to your scalp, clip it there with a clippie.

You do this to your whole head and walk around looking kind of goofy for a few hours… Like me:

And as you can see: I used Herbal Essences mousse. Overall the effect on my hair was thus:

We were having some meetings so I wanted to do this with my hair for that night…. if you wanted it for in the morning I believe if you bobby pinned the sections (so the bobby pins were flat against your head so as not to stab thyself) and then wrapped your head in a bandana to keep your hair contained, I think it could work. If you try it that way let me know how it turns out!

The Chronicles of Narnia

If you haven’t read the books in this series, I strongly advise you to do so. Adventures, battles, a Great Lion named Aslan, who is involved throughout the whole story even though the reader might not be able to see it.

I don’t want to give everything away, but I must say this: The last book of the “chronicles” may seem like all hope is lost, but at the very end: it makes you so happy that you want to cry!

C.S. Lewis is a genius! Everything in the books seems to have a parallel with the Bible somehow, and I really feel like if I say anything more I’ll end up giving something away… So do me a favor: read them!

Hello, My lovely Friends and Readers!

Being a Trying-to-graduate-pregnant-homemamker, makes blogging a little hard... But I love every moment of it! Keeping a house clean, playing music to create a nice atmosphere... athough I do not like the stack of dishes that I need to always do...... but Joel helps me with that :)

I love every moment of being pregnant.... Thank the Lord there is no morning sickness! I can't wait until the baby (or babies) is/are here! Joel wants a girl... and I have no prefrence..... VOTE: boy or girl??

Good News!!

I'm PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!

Based on my first pregnancy test that I took at home so.. yeah oel and I are pretty excited!! :)

The Honeymoon: Ooh la la <3

Before we went on the honeymoon, we had to go to my parents place, pack up the truck with all of my junk, and then go to our place (all in all your longer than average trip from Wisconsin to Arkansas!) THEN we went to our honeymoon place! Which was in Missouri! Joel took me to the place he grew up, and introduced me to a bunch of people he knew  and we got this nice picture:

We don’t really know who put the flowers there… But, this is Joel’s dad’s gravestone. Don’t Cry!!! Sorry, I tend to tear up a bit… Continuing on:

After spending a while in his home town, we went to the precious moments place! We didn’t get to go into the museum because it was “late” but we saw the last tour of the chapel, and walk around the grounds a bit:

After that, we went to Branson, Mo. We went to a few Museums, about the Titanic, The other was Ripley’s Believe it or not. Then SILVER DOLLAR CITTY!!!! By far, my favorite place to be! It was cold throughout our honeymoon, and I got a little cold from the cold… which isn’t very fun! We had a blast together!!! And I’ll spare a few details… If you want to know more: email or comment

The Wedding

Hey Everybody!  Joel and I don’t have internet service, so what will be happening is I’ll type up my posts, then when we go to McDonald’s I’ll post them all in bulk. Today’s date is Tuesday, October the 25th.  Joel and I came back from our Honeymoon on Saturday… And it was amazing!

Well, I’m getting ahead of myself: the wedding!! It was a wonderful ceremony, our officiate, Bro. Fergusson helped us so much, and everything went smoothly. All the girls looked B-E-A-utiful in their dresses! (I don’t have any of my own pictures to post yet I will as soon as I can)

Joel said he liked my dress… (to what degree I’m not sure ; ) And I was wearing a slip under that dress that was WAY too tight! I just about died!… Okay, I’m exaggerating… but I could barely eat.  But, all in all, it looked good. As my Grandma would say: It’s the price we pay to look good. 

Our Photographer took so many pictures, our faces were hurting by the time he was done : P , On top of that we also had my now, sister-in-law taking snapshots and Kara taking pictures too.  Also, there was a video-man walking around that my dad knows pretty well, not to mention the other man who was videoing the ceremony too.

The Reception hall looked gorgeous with plenty of purple and brown throughout. And it looked better than I imagined! Fox Hills is DEFINITELY a great place to have a reception and wedding! It may be expensive, but I think it’s worth it.

Tomorrow's The Big Day!!

Wow, we're here, alive. And I guess I'm taking it pretty calmly for now :) (who knows about tomorrow:) The rehearsal was pretty good, we ran through it a few times... and I think we'll do great tomorrow! The bridesmaids liked (I hope) the gifts I gave them... Here's a pic of one:

Then there were a few things inside... It's not much, I know, but I put thought into it.

I've been thinking about life is going to change, and I'm looking forward to it. It's hard not to, the "adventure" and spending my life with "my head" since I've been walking around without one for years now (according to Sister Sallie) Ok, It was funnier at Perkins today than it appears on this post.

Everyone gathered at Fox Hills Resort and we were waiting on a few lost family members of Joel's *ahem* not naming any names... coughBENcough Just kidding! It was actually kind of funny :) My future nice Gloria is our flower girl and she looked like she was having a good time walking up the aisle. Same with my Cousin Joe (he's shy around alot of people) The Tuxes all fit everyone, except two people who haven't tried them on yet. The dresses are all good and mine, I hope, is perfect!

5 days....

Joel and I had to go and get some sort of license saying we could marry... or something like that... I don't really understand it all :P Let m.e tell you: I don't like going to the courthouse. At all. Period.

Anyway, Joel just told me that he still wants to spend every moment with me because he feels like he's going to be leaving without me... like he's up here for a visit... and I, actually, feel kinda the same way haha!! We're so used to him having to leave that it's hard to believe that we're actually getting married.

That's all I really have to say.... Anything everyone wants to know about??? Please let me know im my comments!!

6 days!!!

We are at less than a week!! and my sweet heart is actually sitting next to me right now and I'm enjoying it! Tomorrow we have to get this document signed at the courthouse saying we can go ahead and get married. Or something. like that.... I think.

Anyway: The bridesmaids dresses are all done, thank goodness!!! That was some big to-do! None of the dresses fit right on anybody! Too tight, shoulders to big, seams not sewn the greatest... but anyway thanks be to God that everything worked out! Can't wait to see it all come together at the wedding!

Down to One week People!!!

Wow..... 7 days, at this time next week I'll be married to the best man on Earth!! In the Universe, even!!!!! Anyway.

Music. I wanted to create a unique mixture of music... That's one thing people tend not to notice, at least I never did haha! And I want people to walk away from the wedding and remember at least something about the music. To give everyone  a taste of what will be playing the bridal party will be walking up the aisle to this. Obviously I'll walk up to the bridal march, and the recessional... I don't know what that will be yet. Joel and I have an idea.. but it's just that: an idea... we'll see if it happens :)

That's about it for today.... I'm exhausted from cleaning all day ( because future in-laws will be coming in the next week) And my handsome man will be coming up tomorrow!!

8 days!!!!

OH MY WORD!!! I'M SOOO EXCITED!!!!... I apologize for that very necessary outburst. Any way... Toay I put the necessities in two rubermade containers, to take to the wedding... The guest book, card box, ring pillow etc. Also something to note: I finished the corsages too!! I never want to wrok with flowers ever again!... at least not for awhile.. haha!

Random thought: When I move to the house Joel and I will have in Arkansas I'm not allowed to have a pet... unless it's a fish. So: I want a fish... any suggestions as to the best fish?? haha! I really want a pet... so a fish it must be. I think I would like one fo these:

9 Days

We are getting in the single digits!!!!!!! My sweetheart is also coming up on this coming Sunday! So, I promised Flowers on my previous post, so, flowers are here! Boutteneries! The one with  white ribbon wraping is for my Darling Husband to Be (that gives me the good chills haha!:)

The reason I did his in white, is becuase I want him to stand out just a little bit. The Bride is in all white, and her bridesmaids are usually in the wedding colors. So, why not make that somehow true on the grooms side? That's my reasoning anyway.

The groomsmen, preacher, and father and grandfather (his dad passed away just little over a year ago. and his grandathers aren't able to come) are wraped in brown. Except for one tiny detail: my grandpa's has a little silver boot (as in boot-enerries) no pun intended.

Believe it or not, it's hard work doing boutteneires yourself! Oh well, I'm glad I did it though, I feel a sense of pride knowing that I did this, and we saved some money by not asking a florist to do it. Let me tell you though: I dont want to ever work with flowers again!....... At least not for a little while :)

10 days

OK, What should I talk about today.... How about the sand ceremony? If there's any complaints against it, well, on "9 days" post there will be flowers. So, here I go.

Joel and I decided we wanted to do some sort of unity ceremony, we didn't like the candle ceremony because, well, I'm scared that my veil, or worse, my hair will catch on fire (this was before I decided I was wearing my hair up) So I did a little research and came up with this:

I don't know if this picture is to small or not, but anyway,, most of the pictures on Bing were sand ceremonies. I brought this to Joel, and we talked about it and decided this was the one for us. Well, I didn't want to buy any of the expensive kits in the stores. So a couple weeks ago I convinced my darling mother to take me to an antique shop.

I found this bottle:

I washed and dried it, and since the opening was so small, I had to either but a funnel and two bottles..... Or buy to Vinegar/oil bottles.

Me and my wonderful mother again went somewhere: Appleton (!!) and we went to T.J. Maxx and found exactly what we were looking for!

Two Beautiful bottles that compliment the center piece. One of the side bottles will be filled with brown sand, the other with purple, which was bought at Hobby Lobby.

All in all here was how much this ceremony costs:

Centerpiece bottle: $6.00

Oil bottles: $4.00 apiece

Sand: $2.99 apiece

Compared to a $29.99 sand ceremony set from Hobby Lobby. (I would have had to buy the sand separately)

So there you have it! A Unity Sand Ceremony, that you can save a few dollars on :)

11 Days

Man, I should of started this yesterday... Then it could've been "12 days of wedding prep". Oh well.... It's 11 days then... Grrr! hahaha!

So, It's 11 days to the wedding, and what is this bride doing?  Blogging! Just kidding! I've been working on gifts for my side of the bridal party, and the ring bearer. I can't post pictures yet, because Anna will see them and it won't be a surprise!! I'll post if probably after the Rehersal Dinner (I'm giving the gifts then)

Also what this bride-to-be is doing is stressing. Haha! What bride doesn't stress?? I'm trying not to, really I am!! Anyway, that's about it.... Except for a picture of this:

I'm Baaaack!!!

Hey Everyone!!!! It's been a loooooong time!!! Anyway, I thought I'd give everyone an update: I'm asolutely nervous, stressed, and among other things, anxious! Planning this wedding has been amazing! And without the support from my brides maids, Anna being one of them! And I can never thank her enough!

And as the wedding draws closer (24 days!!!!) I'm constantly thinking: I can't believe that I was blessed to find the man I love so soon! Joel and I have been discussing alot of things, and I'm loving every second we can spend talking, just knowing that once we get married there won't be phones and distance between us... every moment is magical for me already! Sure, we get to the point where we don't agree on something for some reason (life is no perfect cup of tea) and we get over it!

I have no clue as to why I'm posting all of this on the internet for "ya'll" to see, but I just feel the need to share what I'm feeling and thinking.... Anyway, just one piece of true wisdom for everyone before I sign off for a bit:

Big news and questions...

Okay, I'm getting married in October now ^_^ and I have to get two or three exams doen a week in order to graduate before I get married :/ eep! So, sorry everyone, this log will be on hold until I get married :( sorry everyone!! God Bless you all!!!!!!!
